Gas Turbine Flowmeter

The gas turbine flowmeter consists of a sensor and a converter‑display unit. The sensor uses a multi‑blade rotor to sense the average flow velocity of the fluid, so as to calculate the flow rate or total flow. As a velocity‑type instrument, the turbine flowmeter features high accuracy, good repeatability, simple structure, few moving parts, high‑pressure resistance, wide measuring range, compact size, light weight, low pressure loss and easy maintenance. It is applied to measure volumetric flow and total flow of low‑viscosity gas in closed pipelines.

The blades of each meter undergo strict dynamic‑balance testing. Every unit is subjected to multi‑point calibration on a sonic‑nozzle calibration bench before leaving the factory. It converts flow velocity into turbine rotational speed, and further converts rotational speed into an electrical signal proportional to flow rate. Its frequency‑output signal facilitates digital processing.

Two main versions are available: basic type and temperature‑pressure compensation type. The basic type measures only flow signals, while the temperature‑pressure compensation type can measure temperature, pressure and standard volumetric flow simultaneously. Both versions are offered in integral and split configurations to adapt to various installation environments. This product is widely used in petroleum, chemical, scientific research, textile and boiler‑related industries.
